Please note we have limited capacity to take on new work, but will do our best to respond as soon as we can.

Influencing, Volunteering, Research, Supporters
We have a lived experience influencer group that women can join. Contact Barakat Influencer Chair for more information: 07351 586 628.
We have some community interpreters who are volunteers and sessional workers, we provide some training and group support. We look for all interpreters to have level 2 interpreting via colleges.

We have private counsellors who volunteer to support women’s mental health needs. They offer one or two women ongoing weekly sessions until it is no longer needed, at no cost to them. All women supported are seeking protection and working on protection claims with caseworkers. If you are a counsellor or mentor and want to offer free sessions, and have experience please reach out.
We have some volunteer college and university placements, organised through Birmingham University and supporting women from the community we assist.
We do engage with research requests where there is capacity.
